Kristen Bell has been cast alongside Melissa McCarthy in new comedy film 'Michelle Darnell'.
The duo will appear alongside Kathy Bates and Peter Dinklage in the movie, which is being directed by McCarthy's husband Ben Falcone, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The film follows the plight of a major industry figure who ends up in prison after being found guilty of insider trading.
And when she emerges from prison and tries - with the help of a former assistant - to change her public image, she finds that not everyone is willing to forgive and forget.
Bell, 34, has been cast in the role of the assistant, who is also a single mother striving to make a success of her own business.
Bates, meanwhile, has been drafted in to play McCarthy's eccentric mentor, who McCarthy's on-screen character is desperate to emulate.
McCarthy and Falcone will produce 'Michelle Darnell' through their On the Day production company, alongside Will Ferrell and Adam McKay through their Gary Sanchez Productions.
Meanwhile, Bell is also set to voice the part of Princess Anna in Disney's Frozen short, titled 'Frozen Fever'.
What's more, she recently reprised the titular role in Warner Bros' film 'Veronica Mars'.
