Maroon 5 are in talks to play the Super Bowl 50 halftime show next year.
According to E! the band - fronted by Adam Levine - has had advanced discussions about taking to the stage at the NFL showpiece game which will be held at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, next February.
The 'Moves Like Jagger' hitmakers are not the only act in the mix to grab the prime performing slot at the football spectacle.
Other names in the frame include Coldplay, One Direction and Bruno Mars - who performed in 2014 at Super Bowl XLVIII.
Billboard previously reported that the 'Uptown Funk' singer was being sounded out about curating the concert which would see him personally perform as well as feature appearances from other artists.
Bruno's performance with the Red Hot Chili Peppers in 2014 was the most-watched halftime show ever with 115.3 million viewers - until his record was beaten by Katy Perry earlier this year when she achieved a peak audience of 118.5 million for her set, famous for her dancing 'Left Shark' costumed backing dancer.
Representatives for the NFL (National Football League) are yet to comment on the Maroon 5 talks.
