Olly Murs with his wax model
Olly Murs will be immortalised in wax at Madame Tussauds Blackpool.
The 'Dance With Me Tonight' hitmaker has posed for a team of sculptors who meticulously measured him up and took details of his eye, hair and skin colour to help them create the life-size statue.
The 30-year-old singer couldn't contain his excitement at his wax figure becoming part of the North West England branch of the world-renowned museum and took to his Twitter account to share the news.
He tweeted: "So excited to be getting my own waxwork for @MadameTussauds !!! (sic)"
Olly also shared a clip of himself joking around with the sculptors' tools as the team sized him up for the model.
In a video which has been posted on Madame Tussauds Blackpool's YouTube channel, he said: "A team of sculptors took hundreds of measurements and photographs and colour matched my skin eyes and hair."
He later joked around as the team attempted to find the perfect shade for his pearly-white smile.
He laughed: "I'm just picking my teeth."
The former 'X Factor' star even shared a sneak peek at the finished result, posting a photo of himself posing next to a replica of his head.
He captioned the image: "Me & Me selfie. (sic)"
