Police were called about a domestic dispute at Bobbi Kristina Brown's house a week before she was found unresponsive.

The 21-year-old aspiring actress - who is in a medically-induced coma in hospital in Atlanta after her lifeless body was discovered in her bathtub on January 31 - and her boyfriend Nick Gordon were apparently the subject of a call placed to emergency services on January 23.

According to E! News, a man named Rick Gilbert from Ellard Securities called 911 and said: "Just had a neighbour call and report saying people were hitting each other and swinging outside in front of the townhomes in Ellard Village."

Though he admitted he didn't know the names of the people involved, Rick gave the couple's address and was asked to get back in touch with the neighbour who had complained to him and ask them to call police directly.

Roswell Police Chief Rusty Grant has confirmed they are in the middle of an "ongoing criminal investigation" to find out what happened to Bobbi Kristina, the daughter of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston, while the 46-year-old singer's lawyer has also confirmed that possible foul play is being looked into.

It was previously revealed that officers were investigating because of suspicious marks on Bobbi's face, which she had sustained before she was found.
