Britain's Prince Harry could be set to effectively emigrate to Australia.
The 30-year-old royal recently announced his plan to quit working for the Armed Forces and friends of the prince have claimed he intends to spend "a lot more time [in Australia]", following his planned four-week trip that starts next month.
A friend told the Mail on Sunday newspaper: "I wouldn't be surprised if Harry spent longer in Australia. He'll be living and mixing with Australians, working with the Australian Defence Force and will get a good look at life out there.
"If he can find a function out there, perhaps some kind of charity military tie-up, that would work. He's discussed it with friends and colleagues and they say he'll like it there."
Another unnamed friend said Harry is a fan of the Australian way of life, and because he doesn't have a girlfriend in the UK, there's no reason why he couldn't relocate.
The insider explained: "He loves the fun-loving Aussie girls and there isn't anyone in the UK holding him back."
In 2003, Prince Harry spent time working as a jackaroo at a cattle station in Queensland, Australia, while he is also known to be fond of South Africa.
