Simon Cowell spent £2,000 on a hotel room so that he could have a bath.
The 56-year-old music mogul reportedly splashed out on a suite at the swanky Mandarin Oriental in London so that he could have a soak in the tub after his boiler broke down at home.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Simon loves baths and they're central to his daily routine.
"He'll admit booking a suite in a flash hotel just to use their bath is slightly excessive, but when you're as rich as Simon it's not quite as big a deal."
The 'X Factor' judge checked out of the room and went home to sleep in his own bed after being told the boiler had been fixed.
He has previously opened up about his obsession with being clean and confessed he sometimes has as many as "three baths a day" as well as two steam sessions.
Simon even has a bath backstage at 'The X Factor' as well as a bed and a personal barman.
A source said previously: "Simon's dressing room is like a mini version of his house - he even has a king-sized bed and bath, plus a storage area for his Champagne.
"His list of requirements also includes a barman, massage therapist and a gold buggy cart to take him around."
