Woman survives after falling under train
A woman has survived after falling under a moving train.
According to the Standard newspaper, a lady in her 20s was dragged under the tube train at Clapham South station in London, this morning (12.03.15) but miraculously escaped with only minor injuries after fire fighters were called to free her.
It is thought the woman's coat had become caught in the train doors as it pulled away or that overcrowding on the platform and caused her to fall down onto the track.
The London Underground train had to be hoisted up in order to free the terrified commuter.
Eyewitness Jack Smith, 25, told the publication: "I was on the platform and the Tube was pulling away when I heard this prolonged scream from 20m down the platform.
"There were loads of women around her screaming and pointing. The driver put on the emergency breaks and we were all evacuated.
"Those platforms are too narrow and there's just not enough space for it to cope with those numbers of people in the morning."
