A look back: 46 years of Glastonbury Festival

With the announcement of the 2016 Glastonbury Festival line-up unveiled, which sees legendary acts ZZ Top, Art Garfunkel and Cyndi Lauper join the bill, we thought we'd go down memory lane and look at some of the biggest legends and pop stars to perform at the iconic music extravaganza, which this year will be held at Worthy Farm in Somerset, South West England on the weekend of June 22 to June 26.

The Rolling Stones owned the iconic music festival in 2013. The 'Satisfaction' rockers teared up the main stage, and, believe it or not it was their first time playing the world famous festival. At the time organiser Michael Eavis hailed their performance "the high point of 43 years of Glastonbury".

Neil Diamond orchestrates biggest singalong at Glastonbury

Neil Diamond inspired one of the the biggest singalongs to 'Sweet Caroline' at the festival in 2008. The veteran rocker performed the legend's Sunday afternoon slot on the Pyramid Stage and had the whole crowd in the palm of his hands as he sung the 1969 tune.
