JUST IN: We will see a new addition to the bumper crop of celebrity kids on the hill this year with a bundle of joy from Joanne Peh and Qi Yuwu.
According to sources, Joanne and Yuwu are expecting their first child together and Joanne is currently three months pregnant. The baby is said to be due in the second half of 2015.
1965’s executive producer and co-director Daniel Yun, who shares a close relationship with the couple, shared in a phone interview with xinmsn: “The only thing I can say is I’m happy for them. But this is their news to share.
“The whole team and crew of 1965 are very happy for them. That’s all I can say,” he said.
The couple confirmed this piece of happy news in a press release from MediaCorp AMD (Artiste Management Division). Joanne said: "Thank you, thank you. I am in good health and we both look forward to welcoming the new addition to our family."
The parents-to-be originally wanted to wait until the "safe period" (after the first three months) to share this happy news, and thanked their well-wishers and fans for their care and concern.
The celebrity couple tied their knot in a low-key ceremony in September at Sentosa last year. The pair who have been friends and colleagues for more than 10 years went public with their relationship in 2013.
Joanne and Yuwu have worked together on multiple dramas, starring as an onscreen couple in 2014’s C.L.I.F. 3, and their latest work project together is in the SG50 movie 1965, which is currently in post-production phase.
1965 is slated for release in the second quarter of 2015.
