Toggle Originals series Run Rachael Run has been bestowed a Bronze Telly in the Online Video-Video-Comedy category at the 37th Annual Telly Awards, a creative awards based in New York. Over 13,000 entries from the United States and around the world were submitted for judging by a panel of members of the Silver Telly Council.
Run Rachael Run, a 12-webisode comedy, follows the adventures – and misadventures – of Rachael Chow, a marketing student who finds herself stuck interning for a small production company named Cream Makers Inc. (hilariously shortened into CMI). It stars Hey Gorgeous 2015 runner-up Hor Ying Ying in her debut role, as well as GOLD 905 DJ Vernetta Lopez, The Noose stars Alaric Tay and Suhaimi Yusof, and veteran singer Roy Li.
The Telly Awards was founded in 1979 and honours outstanding TV commercials and programmes, video and film productions, and online commercials, videos and films. Over 500 accomplished industry professionals evaluate entries to recognise distinction in creative work and judge them against a high standard of merit. About 25 percent of entries are chosen as Bronze Telly winners, while less than 10 percent are awarded the Silver Telly, the highest honour.
Some notable past Telly Award winners include Bloomberg, CNN, College Humor, Comcast, Time Warner and Warner Brothers.
