Jointly held by MediaCorp and Community Chest, the SG Care & Share Day took place at the Singapore Sports Hub yesterday, drawing a large crowd of over 2,000 people.

This event was held in conjunction with Community Chest’s Care & Share SG50 Movement to encourage Singaporeans to show their care and concern for the less privileged through national fund-raising and volunteerism. It is also in line with MediaCorp Cares, MediaCorp’s corporate social responsibility initiative that brings communities together to change lives.

MediaCorp artistes Aileen Tan, Hong Huifang, Jayley Woo, Kym Ng, Lin Meijiao, Terence Chao, Tracey Lee, Xiang Yun and Project Superstar winner Alfred Sim also brought laughter and joy to the audience with their performances of singing and witty hosting.

In the afternoon, the audience also enjoyed a series of heart-warming and energetic performances by several schools, volunteers and the beneficiaries of the charities.

The public could also experience hands-on activities such as learning a dialect, floral arrangements, arts and craft and using Braille to make products like name cards and drawings to give them a head start on being able to interact better with the less privileged. Booths were also set up for the public to sign up to volunteer their service.
