Chinese New Year festivities continue this week, with our celebs making the most of this once-a-year opportunity to feast and hang out. Fann, Christopher Lee and their son, Zed, took a family trip to Chris’s hometown of Malacca and spent time by the beach. Pornsak, Lee Teng and Michelle Chong offered toasts with xiaolongbao instead of liquor shots. Jeanette Aw hosted a lavish dinner for her The Dream Job co-stars and crew. And Sora impressed with her massive, artistic yusheng — her first attempt too!

The Dream Job debuts June 27 at 9pm on Channel 8.

After the CNY binge-eating, we could all use some fitness inspiration to get in shape. Jacelyn discovers a new hobby, and Allan’s secret to staying in shape? You can’t avoid doing cardio, and running is the simplest and most convenient way to work out, he said.

Birthday boys this week: Xu Bin and Aden Tan! The former celebrated the occasion with friends including Hayley Woo, Dasmond Koh and Aloysius Pang. The latter got some love (and a cold shoulder) from his Selfie’s Tale co-stars Joshua Tan and Sonia Chew.

Guess Wu’s turning the Big ‘One Oh’? Allan’s and Lilin Wong’s son, Jonas, turned 10 this week too, and the whole family took a photo for the first time in what seemed like a long time.

Love is in the air, and some of our stars took selfies with the stunning bouquets they received. Sonia’s 50 roses inspired her to make punny jokes about how a special someone “rose to the occasion,” while Aileen felt happy and loved with the “cheap cheap white roses” she received from her husband.

Not everyone celebrated Valentine’s Day with a significant other. Mark’s eldest, Calista, warmed his heart with a piece of lo mai kai (steamed glutinous rice with chicken) she bought for him. Sheila went on a movie date, the first time she spent February 14 with her family. Cheryl called her Popo (granny) her greatest Valentine of all for her big heart, immense tolerance and selflessness. (Awww!)

Joanne and Jaime spent quality time with their daughters, and in Jaime’s case, wearing matching fuschia dresses was totally CNY and V-Day appropriate. Sora found herself an eligible bachelor — the God of Fortune, albeit in a balloon-art form.

With CNY comes great lottery winnings. We saw a flurry of banknotes when Sonia made it rain greenbacks #likeaboss — way #fierce. And Jia Fa discovered this one-of-a-kind coffee table during his trip to Bangkok. “No prizes for guessing who’s the winner of the $9.5 million Toto last week. No, I am not retiring yet,” he wrote. Ouch.

New hair, new ‘do. We’re digging Carrie’s new bob so bad. Though the actress was reluctant to cut her hair short for the first time in 20 years (for a role in Mercurial Men), we’re secretly hoping this will grow on her and she’ll keep her hair this way.

Mercurial Men debuts August 9, 9 pm on Channel 8.

Travel inspo this week: Allan took on Berlin in style, and George visited a street market in Trinidad, Cuba, which he said looked like a scene out of Indiana Jones and Star Wars. He also made fun of his satchel for looking like the largest fanny pack known to humankind.

The main cast of Jack Neo’s kampung-themed comedy Long Long Time Ago headed to Kuala Lumpur to promote the movie, and isn’t that just the hippest granny you’ve ever seen? Ng Suan Loi (or Jing Jing Ahma) may be 79, but she looks completely at home getting her swag on with Charmaine Sei, Benjamin Tan and Ryan at Changi Airport.

Mr Unbelievable took 8-month-old Genghis (or Xiao Un) out for a stroll at Marina Bay, but it seemed the little tyke couldn’t seem to pay attention to his father. Tian Wen said he told Xiao Un to look at the camera, but the child seemed to prefer stealing glances at chicks instead.

Yi Fong and Addy Lee struggled to keep their balance in the pool during their Pattaya holiday. “These two chubby people just can’t sink in the water,” she wrote. “This proves that plump people are far better at floating.”
