Cast members of Toggle Originals series I Want to be a Star invaded Upper Seletar Reservoir for a retro-inspired filming session this week. Ya Hui was nearly unrecognisable with her camo face paint — “I can’t even recognise myself,” she wrote — and Hong Ling transformed into Mdm Ang with her 40s army uniform.

Catch up on the first Toggle Originals series, A Selfie’s Tale. Look out for the upcoming series Run Rachael Run, which debuts March 28.

Cynthia turned 42 on March 25, but she celebrated the occasion in advance with friends (including Michelle, who played photographer) and lots of cake. Happy birthday!

Other birthdays this week: Chor Meng’s elder daughter, Chloe, turned 15 and Gurmit turned 51. The latter was rehearsing in the studio for his new show, Don’t Forget to Remember, when his wife, Melissa, and the Channel 5 crew surprised him with a birthday message on the giant screen.

March 23 was the first anniversary of Lee Kuan Yew’s passing, and among the memorial notes and tribute art circulating online, we came across this shot of Sharon and the late politician and what appears to be a Nokia 7610.

A new hairstyle for Aden? The toddler seems to be sporting shorter bangs, but we’re still bowled over by this adorkable look.

See Ya Hui blend right in with real cops at C.L.I.F. 4 lensing ceremony this week. She makes her debut in the C.L.I.F. series this season as police investigator Wang Shi Shi. Did you know the actress had thought about joining the police once? We think she would have made a smashing officer.

C.L.I.F. 4 debuts September 6, 9pm on Channel 8.

Some of the cast of The Dream Job spent the week in Perth filming scenes for the upcoming Channel 8 drama, and Jeanette grabbed the opportunity to pose for a couple of on-point Instagram shots. “I need new challenges, they keep me alive,” she wrote in the caption. Well said.

The Dream Job debuts June 27 at 9pm on Channel 8.

New faces this week: Pornsak slapped on an Iron Man facial mask, and “Dawn Png and Keith Yeoh” tried out the face-swapping capabilities of the new app MSQRD, which looks equal parts fun and freaky.
