[2016 MAMA] Crush and Ailee Win in Best Vocal Performance Solo Categories

Crush and Ailee has respectively won the Best Vocal Performance Male Solo and Best Vocal Performance Female Solo awards.

On December 2, Crush and Ailee won the Best Vocal Performance Solo awards at the 2016 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) held in Hong Kong.When accepting the award, Crush shared, "Thank you, family. I didn′t know I would be called right now, so I didn′t prepare a speech. Thank you to the Amoeba family." Ailee also shared, "Thank you for this good award every year. I will try harder."

Meanwhile, the 2016 MAMA, Asia′s top music awards, is holding its 8th ceremony in Hong Kong. The awards began in 1999 as Mnet Km Music Festival and after about 10 years of being held in Korea, the event was held for the first time outside of Korea in 2010. It was held in Macau in 2010 and has since been held in Singapore in 2011 and in Hong Kong from 2012 through 2015.
