2AM member Jo Kwon has left his agency JYP Entertainment after 16 years together.

On September 22, JYP Entertainment revealed, "After the completely of Jo Kwon′s contract and after discussions, we decided not to continue his contract."They continued, "We sincerely thank the artist and fans who have been with and trusted the company for a long time." They added, "JYP and Jo Kwon will continue to support each other in their futures."

Jo Kwon trained with JYP Entertainment as a trainee from 2001 until his debut with 2AM in 2008. While Jo Kwon was the last remaining 2AM member in JYP Entertainment after the completely of their contract in 2015, he has also decided to leave the agency.

On September 22, he also shared the news with fans by sharing a photo of the words "Time for Change" written on a chalk board. He accompanied the image with the message, "2001-2017 JYPE."

Meanwhile, while 2AM members are each in their own agencies, the group is not officially disbanded and group promotions are in the horizon.
