f(x)’s Victoria put an end to all speculations that she is not leaving her label, S.M. Entertainment, after reports from Chinese news agencies on May 30 claimed that she was looking to annul her contract.
The rumours were swiftly denied by S.M. and Victoria substantiated her label’s statement with a Instagram post, in which she displayed her SMTOWN ID Card.
She was at a press event for her Chinese drama Beautiful Secret yesterday, where she was once again questioned about her contract with S.M.. In response, she reiterated that she has never intended to break her contract and that she was unsure how or when the rumours began.
Victoria also shared that like EXO’s Lay, S.M. is in the midst of preparing a studio in China to support her Chinese activities. S.M. previously maintained that they will continue to manage her while she promotes in both Korea and China.
Her group, f(x), has been under the radar since member Sulli announced her indefinite hiatus last July, in the midst of the group’s promotions for album Red Light.
However, a comment made this May by fellow member Luna on Instagram has fans hoping that the group will make its comeback soon. It read, “All of f(x) should appear soon as a complete group”.
