Gary announces departure from Running Man

Running Man’s long-running fixed cast member, Gary, has announced that he will be leaving the show. Reports have shared that his decision was made in order to concentrate on his music career.

The 38-year-old has been a fixed cast member on the show since July 2010. Prior to joining the show, he made his entertainment debut as a rapper and is also part of hip-hop duo Leessang. The production team has stated that they have accepted Gary’s decision and will also be supporting him in his future activities after leaving the show.

Gary’s last filming session with the rest of the members will be on Oct 31. The Running Man production team has stated that there is no intention to cast for a new member to replace him on the show, and that the show will continue with its current lineup of Yoo Jae Suk, Ji Suk Jin, Kim Jong Kook, HaHa, Song Ji Hyo and Lee Kwang Soo.

Song Joong Ki was the only other fixed cast member to leave the show in 2011.
