Has Song Hye Kyo cancelled public appearance after divorce news?

Korean actors Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo have remained out of the public eye since news of their divorce was announced on June 27.

And it seems like Hye Kyo is determined to keep it that way, even reportedly cancelling a Sulwhasoo event in Sanya, China, her first public appearance after her split.

The event, which was slated to take place tomorrow (July 6), was promoted before news of her split. After the divorce hit the news, the organiser updated their Weibo assuring that the event would take place as scheduled, but has since reportedly removed the post.

A spokesperson from beauty conglomerate Amorepacific, which is the parent company of Sulwhasoo, shared that they would not be replacing Hye Kyo in their advertisements. They have a longstanding partnership with her, which began in 2001. They made the announcement shortly after the divorce news broke, as other brands such as Dyson reportedly considered editing their advertisements which feature the actress.

In related news, Joong Ki will begin filming for his new movie, Victory, today. The sci-fi flick is his first in three years, and is slated to hit cinemas in 2020.
