Ji Sung confirms drama comeback

After picking up the Daesang (Grand prize) for his roles in 2015 drama Kill Me, Heal Me, Korean actor Ji Sung has confirmed his next small screen project.

His role in Entertainer will be of a man who was once a successful agent with an entertainment company but was forced to leave after being betrayed. He then opens a small agency on his own and seeks to reach the top once again together with singers he discovers.

Girl’s Day’s Hyeri, who was recently lauded for her acting chops after her stint in Reply 1988, will be Ji Sung's leading lady.

This show is likely to be a contrast from his previous drama, in which he played multiple roles due to the lead character’s dissociative identity disorder. The PD (production director) of Entertainer has previously worked on You’re Beautiful and King of Dramas, which starred Jang Geun Seok and Kim Myung Min respectively.

CNBLUE drummer and actor Kang Min Hyuk and actress Chae Jung Ahn have recently confirmed their roles in the show. His last drama foray was in 2013 in Heirs, and hers in Yong Pal.

Entertainer is slated to broadcast its pilot episode in April.
