[KCON 2017] KCON 2017 NY Gathers Over 40,000 Attendees Over the Weekend

CJ E&M′s world renown hallyu festival KCON 2017 NY has gathered over 40,000 attendees over the weekend at the Prudential Center.

On June 23 and 24, KCON 2017 NY was held with the slogan Let′s KCON. Thousands of attendees gathered to experience a variety of Korean culture through K-POP, K-Beauty, K-Food, K-Dance and more.Artists including Highlight, Twice, CNBLUE, GFriend, KNK, SF9, Zion.T, NCT127 and UP10TION also performed for fans during the two day festivities through M COUNTDOWN. The artists captured the hearts of fans through performances of their hit tracks and fans sang along during their stages.

Additionally, KCON is a platform where new artists are able to take their first step in front of global audiences. The event in New York was especially meaningful as the city is a center for a variety of cultures coming together. Artists had a chance to become one with their many global fans.

Meanwhile, KCON 2017 NY′s M COUNTDOWN performances will be aired through Mnet on July 6 at 6PM KST.

KCON was first launched in 2012 at Irvine, California with the hope of establishing an annual flagship event that would improve the American fan celebration and experience of Korean entertainment and culture. In 2016, KCON USA gathered over 118,000 fans in Los Angeles and New York. Since their first event in 2012, they have expanded to Japan, UAE, France and Mexico.
