Kim Min Hee and director Hong Sang Soo have shocked many with news of their affair.

On June 21, a media outlet exposed the 1 year long affair of Kim Min Hee and director Hong Sang Soo.According to the report, Kim Min Hee and director Hong Sang Soo began their relationship while filming for 2015 movie Right Now, Wrong Then. They filmed 3 more films together since then and also attended the Cannes film festival together in May.

Director Hong Sang Soo is married and has a daughter who is currently attending college. He met his wife during his studies abroad in 1985. It has been revealed that the director, who has been happily married for 30 years, has not been in contact with his family since beginning a relationship with Kim Min Hee. Director Hong Sang Soo revealed the affair to his wife at daughter last September and has not returned to the family′s home for the last 9 months. The couple are maintaining their relationship despite the opposition from both their families.

Meanwhile, Kim Min Hee has been promoting without an agency since her contract with her previous agency ended in October of last year. Kim Min Hee has not released an official statement.
