Rain, Kim Tae Hee welcome baby girl

Korean power couple Rain and Kim Tae Hee welcomed their first child, a daughter to the world. Rain announced the good news on his Instagram account.

His caption read, “Thank you… We have a pretty princess. We’ll raise her well to be a child that will help the world. #blessed.” It was accompanied with a snap of a pair of baby socks.

The couple went on a babymoon in August, when Kim Tae Hee was estimated to be seven to eight months pregnant, jetting to Italy with Rain’s father for a short getaway. They were previously speculated to be expecting a girl as early as September, but responded via their respective agencies that having a healthy baby was the most important to them, and that its gender was unimportant.

Rain and Kim Tae Hee tied the knot in January in a low-key ceremony after dating for over four years. In May, they confirmed that they were expecting their first child, with Kim Tae Hee’s expected delivery date estimated to be in late October or early November.

They have known to be fiercely protective of their private lives, and are expected to keep their daughter’s face a secret from the public while she is growing up. The pair is reported to have moved into a three-storey mansion in Itaewon after their marriage, and are expected to be raising their bundle of joy in their marital home.
