Sixth woman involved in Park Yoochun saga

Results of the DNA test involving the first woman is expected to be released this week

Sixth woman involved in Park Yoochun saga

Last week, a fifth woman stepped forward to accuse Park Yoochun of sexual assault, with the singer-actor heading in to the police station to provide DNA samples to be sent for testing.

In a statement, the police shared that it will take a week at most to verify if Yoochun’s DNA, matches that of the DNA found on the underwear that was submitted by the first victim, Miss A, as evidence. The first victim originally withdrew the claim that she was sexually assaulted by Yoochun, but is said to have decided to change her statement. She will reportedly continue to press charges against him.

Since it is one of the most widely discussed celebrity cases in Korea now, Korean entertainment news programme Section TV invited a lawyer to appear on the show. The lawyer shared that even if the DNA found on the first victim’s underwear matches Yoochun’s, it will only prove that the pair had some form of sexual intercourse. It will be insufficient to determine if the said intercourse was consensual or forced.

In addition, a sixth woman has stepped forward to give her side of the story. Miss N (the women’s names have not been publicly revealed to protect their identities) shared that on June 4, Yoochun followed her to the bathroom after she performed a dance for his group.

A staff member of the adult entertainment establishment revealed that Miss N had gone to the bathroom to put her clothes back on and that Yoochun had followed her with a wad of money in hand. A second staff member confirmed the story but added that he did not know what happened between Miss N and Yoochun after that.

Miss N has been interviewed by the police and did not file any charges against Yoochun. June 4 is the same day that Miss A is said to have been sexually assaulted by him. Investigations into the case are still ongoing.
