Meet the BTS members

In case you've been living under a rock (seriously, news has been everywhere), you probably already knew that BTS held their much-anticipated Comeback Show last night (Sep 21).

Streamed live on portals around the world, including Toggle (Singapore represent, y'all), the show took over an hour to re-introduce BTS to their fans, ARMY.

From going on a blast to the past (think a performance from their debut days back in 2013), to giving us a peek of what life as a BTS member is like, we bring to you our seven favourite moments from the BTS Comeback Show.

Read on for more.

#1 Getting a first look at their new songs

It's been less than a week since BTS made their grand comeback and they've yet to perform on music shows. Saving their first performances for the comeback show, they lit up the stage (and all our screens, of course) with songs from their new album, including the title track 'DNA' and B-sides (but definitely title track-worthy) 'Mic Drop' and 'Go Go'.

#2 A blast to the past with their milestone songs

It was almost as if we were transported back into the past when they unexpectedly performed 'No More Dream'. Clad in outfits that were more akin to their debut hip-hop swag lord style than their current fashion-forward, drool-worthy wardrobes, they powered way through their performance much to the delight of the fans that were gathered in the studio and watching on their screens.

They also performed 'I Need U', a song they said was a turning point in their career - that song gave them their first-ever music show win on May 5, 2015.

Nope, we're not crying; you are.

#3 Having a glimpse of the members' daily lives

Jin has showed off his pet dogs, Jjanggu and Jjajang on a number of occasions, but we found out that the hyung (oldest) of the group actually has more pets that we didn't know about - in particular, a sugar glider that he shared he was hesitant to let others know about as he was worried that people would want to raise the adorable mammals without thinking it through thoroughly.

We also saw J-Hope preparing for his mixtape, and to put it simply, we can't wait for our ears to be blessed with this one.

#4 Rap Monster speaking in English

Knowing that fans all over the world were tuning in to their show, Rap Monster (he prefers to be known as RM now, as he's a tad embarrassed about the stage name he gave himself when he was younger) took every chance he could to speak in English.

Even when he didn't, the other members would encourage him to say something in English in order for more people to understand what they were saying on stage. Awww.

#5 Seeing BTS remaining as down-to-earth as ever

Given the ever-growing popularity and attention that BTS has been receiving, there would naturally be some who would think that fame has gone to their heads.

That proved to be untrue as they remained their goofy (yet serious, when need be) selves and took every chance to poke fun at each other. A video was also played towards the end of the show, sharing that the group is thankful for the fans who have been with them through their amazing journey thus far.

#6 Watching them cringe at their past photos

You know the drill at Chinese weddings in Singapore - embarrassing past photos are typically shown on huge projectors during the wedding banquet, much to the horror of the poor bride and groom.

It didn't take a wedding for the staff to whip out the old photos of the members, which Suga promptly destroyed and disposed of once he saw it. The rest, however, were pretty much accepting of their 'dark pasts'. If our word is worth anything, we say that they've grown up really, really well since then.

#7 Seeing them back on our screens again

Last but not least, we're simply glad to have welcomed them back on our screens once again. After an almost-year long absence since their last release (for the uninitiated, BTS has a track record of releasing new material pretty often, and this has been the longest they've gone without doing so), they're finally back - and we're sure they'll soar to even greater heights.
