Fiona announced her return seven years after she left Mediacorp and will be back to acting in upcoming Channel 5 drama Left Behind.

Speaking to reporters after her announcement, she let us in on her reasons behind why she left, including a failed relationship that hit her hard. As for her future plans, the ever-bubbly actress quipped that she can’t say for sure what’s next for her in terms of work.

Her return was met with much excitement from both her fans and fellow celebs alike, and we, like them, can’t wait to see Fiona back on our small screens.

Left Behind premieres on Channel 5, August 22, 10pm.

Peter, who was once married to Quan Yi Fong, announced his surprising return to showbiz in almost two decades with upcoming Channel 8 drama Hero. While this will be his first drama in a while, the actor assured that his acting chops are far from rusty with him taking part in small productions over the years.

Peter, who has since remarried, shared that he won’t be giving up his day job - driving a taxi - and chuckled that the freedom that the job gives him equates to him being able to do both at the same time. As for whether he’ll give up being a taxi driver completely, he shared that it’s still “too early to say”.

Felicia became a part of showbiz after coming out tops in Star Search in 2003. In 2010, she announced that she would halt being a full-time actress in favour of pursuing a degree in Business Administration with the National University of Singapore.

In 2013, she declared that she would not be continuing with her studies, and made her comeback in the same year – the 10th anniversary since she first stepped into showbiz. Her comeback works included Toggle Original Hong Baos and Kisses, Channel U’s Scrum! and Channel 8’s In The Name of Love.

During the last concert of her No Faye! No Live! Tour in 2005, Faye’s declaration of “I hope everyone will forget about me if I ever retire from showbiz” left many wondering if it was a sign of what to come. Alas, months after, her manager announced that Faye would be on an indefinite hiatus.

She tied the knot with actor Li Yapeng that same year and she welcomed a daughter in 2006. In 2010, she made her comeback performance at the CCTV New Year’s Gala and went on tour shortly after. This songbird shows no sign of slowing down and released Be Perfunctory, her first Cantonese album in 10 years, in 2015.

In 2008, one of the biggest photo scandals blew up in the entertainment industry when snaps of Edison Chen and various females – including fellow celebrities Cecilia Cheung and Gillian Chung – in compromising positions were released online.

Following which, he understandably took an indefinite break from showbiz and only made a brief appearance in 2014 comedy flick Golden Chickensss. He made his official return this year, much to the delight of his fans, but he’s since gotten into hot soup after his online tirade targeting model-actress Lin Chiling. Oops.

The Korean variety guru was investigated for tax evasion in 2011 and announced his retirement from showbiz following the scandal. Months later, the courts declared that the case would be dismissed due to the absence of a formal declaration of charges.

After the uproar over the entertainer’s failure to pay taxes died down, he made a comeback in late 2012 and remains as one of the most respected comedians in the industry. He is currently hosting a number of shows, including KBS’s Invisible Man and JTBC’s Knowing Bros.

In one of K-drama’s biggest casting news in a long time, Lee Young Ae confirmed that she would be making her acting comeback after over a decade with period drama Saimdang, the Herstory. The 45-year-old actress headlined the mega-hit Dae Jang Geum in 2003, which was not only immensely popular in Korea but all over the world.

The drama is yet to have a confirmed air date but is reportedly slated for an October broadcast, with its final schedule to be determined after the reshuffling of other dramas air dates due to the Rio Olympics is complete.

We think we’ve lost count of how many times we’ve heard rumours of Won Bin making his comeback, so we’ve been taking the recent confirmation by his reps with a pinch of salt.

The actor last appeared in 2010’s The Man from Nowhere and has not had any acting projects since. He wed fellow celeb Lee Na Young last year and has also welcomed his first child, a boy, in the same year. There has been no further updates since early July, where his reps stated that he is still in discussions over his comeback, so we’ll have to keep our fingers crossed for this one.
