IGOT7 (or ahgase, a shortened version of IGOT7 in Hangul), start saving up and clearing your schedules. Korean boy group GOT7 blazed into Singapore for K-live Sentosa’s launch party with big promises of returning to our sunny shores soon.

For those who can’t wait to see them in the flesh but can’t quite hop on the next plane to Seoul to catch them in action - there’s a middle ground for you to explore. K-live Sentosa has revolutionised the way fans can see their favourite idols with their hologram theatre.

Lest you think you can watch them all the same on your computer screens, Toggle attended their launch party yesterday (Feb 22) and had moments where we thought JYP stars 2PM, Wonder Girls and GOT7 were breaking out the dance moves in front of us.

Explaining more about the unique concept, Chief Creative Officer Sean Park shared, “It took hours for each group to record minutes of their performance because of the amount of details that we have to pay attention to. 2PM impressed me with their passion as they asked for one more take even after dancing for six hours on end.”

Continuing, he mused, “One of the Wonder Girls members hurt her ankle and she rested for half an hour before getting back on set and started dancing - I had to wonder if it was really her or a clone instead.”

While GOT7 didn’t manage to perform live during their visit this time, they shared a knowing look amongst the group when the media questioned if they would be returning to Singapore for more soon. “We’re currently working very hard to return to Singapore soon,” they coyly responded.

The septet, which was missing Jackson during this visit, celebrated their second year anniversary last month and word on the street is that they are preparing for their first full-scale concert tour in the near future. While no official announcement has been made yet, their repeated declarations to their fans that they will be back soon has raised hopes that they will be sharing good news in the near future.

While their time with their beloved ahgase was short and sweet this time round, we're counting on them to make good on their declaration - perhaps in the near future.
