The singer-turned-designer couldn’t choose between singing and her fashion career

Korean-American singer-turned-designer Jessica Jung paid a quick visit to Singapore this week as the first celebrity guest at the very first celebrity session at Korean salon Bella K-Beauty House, which recently opened their very first outlet in Singapore.
The 27-year-old, who was last in town earlier this year for the opening of fashion brand Valentino’s outlet in Singapore, will be back next month for her first solo fanmeet in Singapore as well.
“It’s going to be my first time performing alone in Singapore and meeting my fans, [and] I’m really excited for it,” she divulged during a short interview session with the host.
“I’m looking forward to the crab,” Jessica laughed, sharing that she will probably be trying Singapore’s local food for dinner tonight. “I came here [Singapore] last night, and I’m having fun, as always.”
The 27-year-old, who left Korean girlgroup SNSD in 2014 to focus on her fashion brand, Blanc & Eclare and her solo career, released her first solo album in May this year, to great results.
However, Jessica has no intentions of letting her singing career take a backseat, as both singing and fashion are equally ranked in her heart, she said.
“Both of them are really great, and I don’t think I can even choose, because I was a singer first, and fashion has always been a part of me,” she mused.
The stylish star also picked American model Kendall Jenner from the Kardashian clan as the celebrity that she’d love to dress, describing the 20-year-old as “gorgeous”.

The 27-year-old, who currently sports a luscious crop of shoulder-length brown hair, shared that she usually prefers wavy hairstyles, as she “likes to have a lot of volume” in her hair.
When asked if there’s any particular hairstyle that she’d like to try next, Jessica replied, “I’ve always had brown-ish hair, so maybe I’ll colour my hair a different colour”, though she ruled out any possibility of a rainbow-coloured mane for her.
As for hairstyling tips, Jessica shared, “When I do my hair by myself, I don’t do much to it. When I’m working, it gets damaged because of all the heat and hairdye, so I just tend to let it be when I’m not working.”
Finally, the 27-year-old gave everyone a sneak peek at what’s next for her.
“For Blanc & Eclare, we have our fall and winter season coming out soon. I’m working on my next album [as well], so I hope you guys [can] stay tuned for that soon!
