Prince Charles is hiring a new assistant private secretary.

The 68-year-old royal is looking for an employee who can "assimilate information very quickly" with "impeccable organisational skills" to help with his duties in Scotland, according to a new job advert posted on employment networking site LinkedIn.

The right candidate would be someone who can be based in London and is educated to degree level.

They must also boast a "substantial experience of a range of Scottish issues in different sectors".

The full list of responsibilities is as follows:

"Contributing to the wider planning and strategy of His Royal Highness's public life, especially in relation to Scotland, Implementing and supporting His Royal Highness's official duties, Arranging engagements and charitable activities, in relation to areas of responsibility,

Organising a programme of official visits around the country preceded by reconnaissance meetings,

Drafting speeches, articles, letters and forewords and

Organising official receptions, dinners and other functions."

Charles is known for using LinkedIn to look for new staff as he previously recruited to run his Twitter account through it.

Charles and his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall posted the job on a number of websites such as Gorkana in an effort to hire a digital engagement officer.
