Eleanor Lee, daughter of local artiste Quan Yi Fong, will be starring in the drama adaptation of popular Chinese manga, ‘Level-E’ alongside upcoming actors Huang Junjie and Dai Jingyao.
In the web drama, tentatively titled Fantastic Baby, Eleanor will be playing the main character, Ye Mu Qi, a 16-year-old junior high school student. Fantastic Baby is a refreshing youth drama that will centre on the antics of Mu Qi, a beautiful and smart class president from the last class.
Photos of the two lead actors at the drama’s lensing ceremony drew the attention of netizens when it was posted on the drama’s official Weibo account. Dressed in their characters’ school uniforms, netizens commented that the duo “looked very compatible.”
In other related news, Eleanor made an appearance at the press conference for Solaso Bistro, a Chinese remake of the Japanese drama Mondai no Aru Restaurant yesterday (March 20). The drama, which will premiere on March 23 in China, revolves around the lives of seven women with unique personalities and portrays their everyday struggles against men, who they regard as their enemies.
Eleanor shot to fame in 2015 after becoming the Apple Girl in China – she starred in an Apple ad for the Chinese market and caught the public’s eye with her fresh image. In the same year, she starred in a commercial with EXO’s Lay, and took up her first acting role in period fantasy drama series Tribes and Empires and earned praise for her talent.
