You read it here first: Wedding bells are set to ring for Jesseca Liu, 38, and Jeremy Chan, 36, this year. In an interview with the Malaysian-Chinese actress at the imaging session for her upcoming Channel 8 drama series, Mind Matters, Jesseca revealed that they will be getting married this year and are in the midst of preparing for it.
Although she declined to reveal the exact wedding date, Jesseca shared that it will be a beachside wedding held in her hometown in Langkawi, Malaysia. More details will be shared in time to come, she added.
“I’ve always wanted a beachside wedding [and we] haven’t decided if we will also hold another celebration in Singapore,” she said.
The bride-to-be added it will be a “very low-profile wedding” and they only intend to invite close friends and family members.
Jeremy, who was picking up his filming outfits, was seen greeting Jesseca during the imaging session just now
“I hope for our relatives to enjoy it so we don’t plan to have many tables. I hope to keep it small, comfortable and stress-free,” she said, during an interview with Toggle.
Jesseca shared that they’ve always planned to hold the wedding this year and revealed she was proposed to two years ago, “not long after we started dating,” she said.
The wedding bands were bought two years ago too, quipped Jesseca, who shared that there is a small diamond on it. The 38-year-old has yet to decide on her bridal gown and declined to reveal how much they will be spending on their wedding, assuring that “more details will be shared” in time to come.
Jeremy and Jesseca worked together on xinmsn web series, Who Killed the Lead, in 2014.
In July last year, Jesseca and Jeremy were rumoured to be getting married after the latter’s grandmother passed away. The couple refuted reports then and said they have to wait for “one or three years” before getting married.
Jesseca and Jeremy went public with their relationship in July last year after the actress was revealed to be “in a stable relationship” in February. The duo previously worked together on xinmsn web series, Who Killed the Lead, in 2014.
