Insta-buzz: The best this week (Oct 31–Nov 6)
We round up our favourite local artistes’ snaps of the past week
What a week it’s been — a new celeb kiddo was born before her father could make it to the hospital, the as-yet-unseen Baby Qi heads to Japan with her loving parents, and Halloween gives us a glimpse of how frighteningly awesome our fave artistes could be. Stars get their Halloween on
We’re digging some of these Halloween looks from moody goth (possibly vampire) George Young, Jade Seah and her gal pals in Jack Skellington–inspired makeup out at a hens party, and ethereal fairy Sheila Sim. Turning up at work dressed as scary any-Disney-princess à la Jean Danker will be our goal for next October 31, while getting a jack-o’-lantern carved especially for you by a professional chef is as atas as it gets. And props to James Seah for repurposing a photo taken while he was filming the movie 1965, covered in blood (the fake sort, we hope).

DJs get a feel of the action at MediaCorp Subaru Car Challenge 2015
Class 95 FM’s Jean Danker (@jeandanker) stayed up late hosting the event until 2 a.m. after there were just 26 contestants still in the running for the top prize, and YES 933 FM’s Kunhua (@kunhua_c) says he is cousins with this year’s second runner-up? #whodathunkit

The news that he’ll be a father come December must have made this year’s birthday especially memorable for Shaun Chen (@shaunchenhongyu). Happy 37th!

Stars sport new looks
We don’t see our fave celebs looking like this often, but we don’t mind at all. Lee Teng (@leeteng0530) agrees his facial mask makes him look ready to rob a bank, Tosh (@toshrock) shares some Snapchat fun, and Ya Hui (@yahuiyh) praises herself for choosing healthy almonds over french fries. Bobby Tonelli (@btonelli) shows us how he lets his hair down on a Monday using someone else’s tresses (not sure how he does that), Kunhua (@kunhua_c) slaps on the coolest-looking facial mask in preparation for the Global Chinese Music Awards, and Dennis Chew (@zhouchongqing) reports from Times Square in his new ‘do.

Jeanette Aw hard at work rehearsing for Beauty World
That focus! The actress has been training with vocal coaches including John Lee for her singing role in Beauty World, which opens November 13. “I don’t think I have ever sung so intensively before,” she writes. And we dig her evil, scheming Lulu look — don’t you?

Proud papas
Darren Lim (@darrenlim72) sounds so thrilled in showing off the first picture created by his eldest, Kristen, on her classic Adler typewriter, while we can almost envision Allan Wu (@wulander) beaming as he snaps this photo of his daughter, Sage, leading her team to the ACSIS Girls’ Basketball Season Championships.

Baby Qi tours Japan
Joanne Peh (@joannepeh) and Qi Yuwu head out for a trip and in between basking in the autumn dusk, is that a distant glimpse of Baby Qi’s face we spy? Sadly, that deer in Nara Park may have gotten closer to the newborn than we ever will. And it doesn’t even seem to care.

New celeb baby in the house
Congrats to Yao Wen Long (@yaowenlong) on the birth of his second child! The cheeky actor wrote in his post that after filming Blessings with Yvonne Lim and Shaun Chen, all three of them produced babies — his daughter, born on November 3, even shares her birthday with one of Shaun’s elders. “So if anyone is looking to have a child, come film Blessings 2 together!” Wen Long added.

YES 933 DJ Lin Pei Fen loves taking little Luke out for walks in the morning, and Yvonne Lim's AJ looks so excited to be just two months shy of turning a year old.
