Insta-buzz: The best this week (November 14-20)

One of the coolest birthday pictures of the 118 family at we’ve seen so far. Will you check out their customised t-shirts that were specially made and printed in New York when Dennis Chew took a trip to the Big Apple last week? The radio deejay told us he spent two hours waiting in the shop for the t-shirts to be done, during an interview at The Dream Makers 2 press conference. Brownie points for effort!

New parents Qi Yuwu and Joanne Peh (@joannepeh) spared no effort in celebrating their baby girl’s 100th day. It was a sweet pink event fit for a little princess – from the balloon wall backdrop and the mini balloon sculptures to the guest of honour’s chic party outfit. There were even customised boxes of goodies filled with pastries and kuehs for guests at the party.

There’s nothing not to love about this set of pictures on baby Aden – but what really caught our eye was his Totoro bodysuit. Also, is it just us or does Aden look all grown up in the picture of him carrying a backpack? Babies grow up too fast, don’t they?

No one can resist a picture with baby Aden – not even Rui En, who scored a shot with the toddler when the tiny tyke visited his dad Andie Chen on the set of his new drama, If Only I Could… this one is for keeps!

Ian (@ian_ianization) finally snipped off his dyed green long locks after more than half a year and Elvin (@elvinngchoonsiong) sports a gentlemanly look with his slicked back hair, goatee and round frames for his drama role in If Only I Could....

PS: don’t you think Elvin’s getup bears a slight resemblance to Romeo Tan’s lawyer character in Sudden?

From visiting the Sphinx to riding camels and exploring dark and narrow tunnels in the pyramids, Cynthia (@cynthiakoh27) sure looks like she’s having a ball of a time in Egypt. We love how royal she looks in that all-white ensemble and beaded headgear – even if those are jammies on her.

The Hill’s resident hunkle (@zhenggeping) travelled to the Himalayans early this week to lead a tour group to the happiest country on earth, Bhutan. Apart from taking in the local sights, the fitness fanatic also went hiking at the legendary Taktsang monastery (Tiger Nest), which is one of the country’s most beautiful shrines located at an altitude of 3,100m!

After attending countless musicals during his trip to London, Bryan (@bryanwwong) decided to pack his bags and head to Norway, to chase after the northern lights. It proved to be one of the best decisions he ever made – he caught a glimpse of the aurora borealis in Tromso on his first night in the country and has successfully checked one item off his bucket list.

PS: For those who are keen to see the northern lights, it’s time to go travelling because it will start to happen less frequently starting from 2017 onwards, due to the solar cycle.

Before he became leading man material, Romeo (@romeotan) had bite-sized and cameo roles in several local productions such as 2006’s C.I.D. (pictured above). Four years later in 2010 he joined Star Search and the rest is history.

After failing to impress critics at her musical debut for Beauty World, Jeanette (@jeanetteaw_xuan) received overwhelming support from fellow celebrity pals on cyber space and in real life.

When we checked in with the actress during the press conference for The Dream Makers 2, she admitted to feeling disheartened and affected by the negative reviews but said she will continue working hard on improving her craft which includes expanding her current repertoire of vocal coaches from three to a whooping four!

They say men age like fine wine and we like to think the same logic applies to hot mama and TV host, Diana, (@dianaserlye) who looks the same all these years even after having three children! How does she do it?!
