Insta-buzz: What the stars were up to this week

On Thursday (Oct 27), Joanne Peh announced that she is pregnant with her and hubby Qi Yuwu’s second child. “We are so happy to share that our family is growing!” she posted alongside a photo of her family of three’s feet plus a pair of baby booties. In a phone interview with Toggle, she revealed that she discovered she was expecting before the filming of Dream Coder began, and that she hopes to give her daughter “Baby Qi” a little sister.

Yuwu also expressed his excitement on his own account, writing, “I am so happy! One more member in the family! Can't wait to see you! Wife, you’ve worked hard!”

Congrats to Joanne and Yuwu again!

The actress’ followers must have had quite a shock when they read about her getting into an unfortunate mishap with a glass door, which “shattered and fell all over” her. She went into a bit more detail on Instagram Stories, posting pictures of the broken glass door she “literally smashed through” and even of a gash on her arm. Yikes!

But don’t worry, she also clarified that she was “lucky to get out of it with just scratches, abrasions, and an aching body” and that a hospital check-up confirmed that “all is fine”. Whew!

Wow, don’t they look good or what? On Friday night, the Ah Jie and host flaunted their fine, fierce sides when the graced the catwalk for fashion label Ed Hardy’s diffusion line Hardy Hardy at Singapore Fashion Week, garnering thunderous applause from the audience.

Fann’s caption for her photo (left), however, had an adorable focus on her family. “Wow! (I look) so happy. What did I see? (Zed)? Or my husband (Christopher Lee)?”

Well, this was a pleasant surprise. It's been a while since we saw dad Christopher Lee, mum Fann Wong and son Zed take a picture together, and both parents shared this sweet shot of them going for a stroll after lunch (or so we learn from Fann's caption) on Saturday (Oct 30). Chris, on the other hand, gushed about "daddy finally returning to your embrace" in his caption. Keep those complete family pics coming, please!

Oh my, just look at this happy little girl! The cheery yellow bedsheet serves as the perfect backdrop for Andie Chen and Kate Pang’s daughter’s overjoyed tiny smile.

Of course, Avery doesn’t need to make much of an effort to make everyone around her fall for her. Carrie Wong appeared to have a bit of a fan girl moment when she “finally scored a photo with the legendary” baby, and quickly showed off a picture with the doe-eyed toddler on her page. “Wow.. Just wow.. Been a mega fan since my schooling days and NEVER in my life will I expect this to happen one day. (sic)” Derrick was talking about the chance to sing a capella with 90s pop group A1, who were in town for a concert last Saturday (Oct 22). For a short but glorious minute, the singer showed off his smooth pipes as Christian Ingebrigtsen, Mark Read and Ben Adams served as his honey-toned backup vocalists. Definitely an experience of a lifetime worth remembering!

Another local artiste who celebrated her birthday earlier this week is Felicia Chin, who turned 32 on Monday (Oct 24). In addition to the get-together she had with her fan club, she also had a cosier, more intimate shindig with friends and of course, her beau Jeffrey. The duke certainly didn’t bother shying away from the PDA, sharing a picture of himself kissing his lady on the cheek and wishing “My Princess” a happy birthday.

To celebrate the success of Korean period drama Moonlight Drawn by Clouds, which ended last week, its broadcaster rewarded the cast and crew with a beach vacation in Cebu, which some of them posted excitedly about on Instagram.

The Taiwan-based local songstress may refrain from divulging much about her romance with French pastry chef Johan Martin in person, but it’s a whole different scenario on her Instagram page. Last Sunday night, the annual President’s Star Charity 2016 showcase successfully raised a whopping $7.37 million for the President’s Challenge beneficiaries. In addition to the live show, we also got an inside glimpse into the goings-on backstage courtesy of all the celebs’ social media accounts, which consisted mostly of group shots and wefies.

Remember when Zoe Tay dubbed Becks the most angelic of the You Can Be an Angel 2 cast because of her kind support towards the special needs people who work at the hospital where they filmed? Wow, the veteran actress’ throwback post certainly gives us some nostalgic feelings! In her caption, Aileen wrote that she wished for a chance to dress up in a Mongolian costume like this for a role again. “But it has to be in a cold country, or my makeup will completely melt away before we even start shooting!” she added.
