Peter Yu makes drama comeback after 19 years

"I'm not worried about feeling awkward if I do run into her when I'm here for filming, I'll be more than happy to say hello to her," he let on, when asked about how he will handle potential run-ins with his ex.

Despite his troubled years following the divorce, Peter is very much back on his feet these days. He has since re-married and has a four-year-old son, with another son due on August 28.

"I think my family is more excited than I am that I'm finally going to be in a drama again," he laughed. "I think I'll do okay acting-wise, because I've been involved in smaller productions and plays in the past two years as well."

As to whether his little one knows about his former marriage and half-sister, Peter explained, "I haven't told him about it yet because he's still young and can't understand, but I feel that there's nothing to hide (so) I'll definitely let him know once he's mature enough."

Hero debuts November 29, 9pm on Channel 8.

With a lofty name such as Hero, one might expect that there will be loads of action, impressive stunts and more. However, this drama will take a softer approach, with the heroes doing everyday things that are part of daily life.

Shaun's character, Zhou Fa Da, was described by the actor as "meddlesome, if you want to put it in a negative way. He really wants to help but he always ends up making more trouble when he tries to fix things."

Jesseca's character, Zhang Wei Xiong, plays the yin to Zhou Fa Da's yang, who, despite her lack of confidence, enjoys helping people contrary to her sharp tongue.

Jesseca, who will be the leading lady on the show, will be pairing up with Shaun Chen once again. The pair last worked together on Blessings, but shared that she hopes to show viewers a different sort of chemistry this time with her co-star.

Apart from being busy with work lately - the actress recently headlined The Queen - Jesseca confirmed in February that she is currently dating, but has been unwilling, to date, to disclose her mystery man's identity.

Widely thought of to be fellow actor Jeremy Chan, rumours of the two tying the knot next month have been making rounds recently but both Jesseca and Jeremy flatly denied these claims.

"These are just rumours (...) it's not the truth," Jesseca laughed, before asking for space when probed about marriage plans. Jeremy, on the other hand, was more upfront when we spoke to him yesterday (Apr 29).

"Not only have there been rumours of me getting married, people have even spread that we'll be having a buffet lunch at a particular hotel - I really want to know who started these rumours because I'd like to hire him to plan my wedding when it does happen!" he chuckled.

Jeremy continued, "I'm definitely not getting married in the near future - I'm just too busy. It's hard to say whether we'll go public with the marriage if and when it does happen because it's still too far away in the future for me to give you a definite answer."

Shaun, who welcomed his baby girl last December, also gave us an update on what's going on in his life.

"My wife was actually at Star Awards 2016 Part 2 - it's just that no one knew about it," he chuckled. While he originally hoped that his family would be able to join him on the Walk of Fame this year, things ultimately didn't work out. On him not being able to make the Top 10 Most Popular Male Artistes list this year, he shrugged, "I'm honestly a little disappointed but I'll just try harder next year!"

His family has also finally been able to settle down in Singapore, and the 37-year-old shared that his four-month-old girl is being cared for by his wife while he's busy at work. As for his plans to hold a wedding banquet, he mused, "We'll definitely have one but we're thinking of doing so after our daughter turns one."

With his wife and daughter's faces still not known to the public, Shaun grinned that he's still looking for the "perfect opportunity" for the family to expose themselves to the world in style.

"I'd seriously consider it if any baby-related brands approached us to do a family advertorial, and I hope that day will come soon!" he added. As to whether he's doing it for the money, he explained, "I think it will be a fun way for them to make their public debut. If we're going to do it, we should do it on a large-scale, don't you think?"

While love is in the air for Ian's BFF, Jeffrey Xu, Ian deadpanned that he's still "as always, very happy". "Jeffrey and I talk about anything under the sun, except for one thing - relationships. I didn't know about him and Felicia before he made his declaration. Even now, I'm not quite sure about what's going on between them," he shared.

When asked for any words he had to say to Felicia, he grinned, "Felicia, Jeffrey is a good guy, and if you two really get together, please make sure that I'm the first one to know!"

"I honestly don't have any dating advice or special tricks to impart to Jeffrey because honestly, I'm always getting dumped!" Ian explained. "But I'm someone who's really into the details and I've already planned out my future proposals - I have a plan if my future girlfriend is from showbiz, and another if she isn't."

With marriage and relationship news abound on-set, we also caught up with Paige, who is in a long-term relationship with her non-celebrity boyfriend.

The 34-year-old, who has long maintained that she and her boyfriend are both individualistic free spirits, affirmed that marriage is nowhere to be seen in the horizon as both parties are happy where they are.

She will once again become a reel-life mummy in Hero, to which she explained, "I really enjoy playing with children but I don't think I'll be able to take care of one if I do have my own. My boyfriend and I have no intention of bidding goodbye to our single statuses, too."

Sheila impressed with her role in 118, but failed to take home a Top 10 Most Popular Female Artiste award this year.

"I was really happy to have been included in the Top 20 but I told everyone around me not to waste their money voting because I was pretty sure that I wouldn't be able to make it," she confessed.

"But they did so anyway, and I felt bad when my name wasn't called. Honestly, I was okay to have not made it but my family members kept comforting me and I found it a little strange because I couldn't figure out why they were doing that when I wasn't as disappointed as they were," the actress laughed.

The 31-year-old confessed to shedding tears after the show, however, when she saw her grandmother walking towards her. "My grandma is someone who doesn't like to go out or dress up, but she did so just to attend the Star Awards this year. I felt sorry to her because she made a wasted trip this time as I didn't win. Tears somehow started flowing down my face when the show ended and I saw her making her way down from upstairs," Sheila confessed.
