It’s that time of the year again as the Singapore Media Festival (SMF) returns, this time even bigger and better. Hosted by the Info-communications Media Development Authority (IMDA), the SMF consists of a slew of exciting events, including the Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF), Asian Television Awards (ATA), Asia TV Forum & Market (ATF), ScreenSingapore and SMF Ignite, which is led by the IMDA.

SMF 2017 will also feature a Festival Village at Read Bridge in Clarke Quay on November 25 and 26, which will have a scheduled packed with fringe activities, outdoor screenings, performances, fun tech and immersive media demons and games.
The glitzy ATA will also be one of the highlights of the SMF, with the red carpet and awards presentation opened to the public and broadcasted to over half a billion people across the Asia Pacific on December 1. The presentation, along with the post-party events, will be broadcasted in the 360 degree video format to give fans an even closer look at the action.
This year’s award ceremony will be a ticketed event hosted by Baki Zainal (Malaysia), Stephanie Carrington (Singapore) and Wang Li Huan (China) and the confirmed guest list includes South Korean star Kim Jong Kook, local singer Joanna Dong, along with renowned international electronic artiste GG Magree.
