Aaron Kwok to take “extreme measures” to protect his daughter

6-month-old daughter Chant ever since her birth, as he was determined to let her have a normal childhood uninfluenced by the media.

Despite constant emphasis on his wish to keep Chant out of the public eye, there were instances when Hong Kong media had gotten around his words, and snapped photos of the baby girl discreetly to share with curious netizens.

The most recent reveal took place in February, when Chant’s full face was photographed while she was out with her parents over the Chinese New Year holiday, and the photo was published in a magazine.

When Aaron attended a charity family event in Hong Kong on March 18, he spoke up about his displeasure towards the blatant exposure.

“It is getting out of hand. I’m okay when the media takes photos of me because I’m a celebrity,” the 52-year-old actor responded in anger, “However, my daughter is not (a celebrity). I may accept it if her identity is protected by mosaic prints, (but it is not). If you take photographs of my family, it may be dangerous for them.”

He added, “I will take extreme measures if necessary. If you see people blocking your cameras the next time you try to take a photo, I hope you know that I didn’t intend to take things so far.”

As Aaron was seen displaying his fatherly side when he interacted with two little girls during the event, he was asked by the media if he would consider taking part in such events with Chant in the future, as that would mean revealing her identity in public.

“I considered the possibility, but didn’t do so as she is too young. If there are more meaningful events in the future, I would want her to participate, so she can learn how to help others,” Aaron shared.

The actor then took the chance to ask the media for some personal space if he decides to turn up with Chant in public.

“As a father, I just want to protect my daughter. I don’t her to grow up under public scrutiny,” he expressed.

Aaron married Chinese model Moka Fang in April last year, and previously shared that he would like a son next, hoping it would happen “as soon as possible”.
