The name Ma Sichun should ring a bell – or two.The 30-year-old Taiwanese actress picked up her first Leading Actress gong in 2016, together with co-star Zhou Dongyu, for their roles in Soul Mate. Prior to that, she gained popularity and bagged her first Golden Horse Best Supporting Actress nomination in 2015 with The Left Ear, which was coincidentally directed by her rumoured beau, Alec Su.According to Taiwan media, Alec and Sichun have always been good friends and remained in constant contact even after the production wrapped.Before Sichun and Alec were linked together, she was seeing 26-year-old Chinese actor Oho Ou. The young couple started dating in March last year but parted ways in August this year.

Shortly after the breakup, Alec and Sichun grew closer after the 45-year-old actor-turned-director started to show more care and concern for her.

Despite their 15-year age gap, they have reportedly met each other’s parents.

Fellow Taiwanese actress Ruby Lin was quoted telling her good friend Alec that he had better “treat her well or I’ll not let you off” when she learned that they were dating.

Both Alec and Sichun have yet to confirm reports about their new relationship at press time.
