Alex Fong’s love life in the spotlight after ex confirms new romance

Taiwanese idol singer-actor Prince Chiu (also known as Wang Zi) and Hong Kong singer-actress Stephy Tang recently went public with their relationship. The couple’s openness about their romance has sparked debate, especially since Stephy previously dated Alex Fong for a decade before breaking up in 2016.

Back in the day, Stephy and Alex were viewed as a golden couple in Hong Kong showbiz, with many believing that they would someday tie the knot. However, the couple announced the shocking news that they had ended their relationship on amicable terms as they remained good friends who wished for the best for each other.

After the news of Stephy and Prince’s relationship hit the news, Alex’s social media accounts started to receive comments asking him about his thoughts on their new relationship, and in particular, Alex’s response to one of his Instagram follower’s comments caught the attention of netizens.

The question, “Do u have girlfriend? (sic)” was replied to with a picture of Alex face-palming, and was accompanied by the caption, “Please stop asking about this”.

Stephy, who attended a media event after that online incident, was asked about Alex’s response. She quipped, “He was joking (…) he’s also congratulated me (on my new relationship), and at the same time, I want to wish him all the best as well.”

She continued “Of course, I hope that everyone is happy, and receiving blessings from everyone makes me happy as well.”

As for whether she is considering marriage with Prince, Stephy would only say that she will “refrain from commenting for now”.
