Alice Chan denies being the third party in new relationship

Hong Kong actress Alice Chan called it quits with her husband of four years, non-celebrity James Yen in 2012. However, she only announced her split from her ex-husband three years later, in 2015. Since then, she has opened up about t he reason behind their split.

Recently, the 45-year-old gave love another shot as she confirmed that she is dating a doctor named Aldous Chan, who is four years her junior. Their relationship was revealed when Alice accompanied him on a business trip.

When asked about her new relationship, the actress readily admitted that they were currently dating, and asked for the media to give them some space. It was reported that both Alice and Aldous were divorcees, and that they became more than friends soon after their initial meeting.

However, two days after they went public with their relationship, an anonymous individual shared that Aldous is still married, and that he had two daughters with his current wife, making Alice the third party.

Aldous swiftly denied the claims when reached for a comment, and shared that he divorced from his ex-wife a year ago and has filed all the necessary paperwork.

He also clarified that he shares custody of their kids with his ex-wife, and that he was single when he started dating Alice.

When asked if he was worried that the reports would cause Alice to be unhappy, he replied, “I'm not afraid, because I’m right here!” Aldous added that he will not bother to find out the identity of the anonymous individual, as his conscience is clean.

When reached for a comment, Alice simply replied, “Dr. Chan has already replied (to the reports), I have nothing else to add!”.
