Alyssa Chia shares family anecdotes at book signing event

Taiwanese actress Alyssa Chia attended a book signing event two days ago (Jan 14) for her new autobiography titled ‘Slow down if you want to find happiness’.

As her book was a success and sold more than 50,000 copies to date, Alyssa joked that she is now ‘a best-selling author’.

The 43-year-old mother-of-three shared family anecdotes during the event, revealing that her eldest daughter, 13-year-old Angel, seems to have many admirers. However, she expressed that she is not worried about her, claiming instead to be ‘more worried for the boys Angel will date, because of her cool and mischievous personality’.

At a previous press conference for her book held on November 25 last year, Alyssa was accompanied by her husband, 34-year-old Taiwanese actor Xiu Jie Kai, and their two daughters Bubu and Bobo. Claiming that they ‘are one’, she credited the success of her book to her family. “Without them, there wouldn’t be ‘happiness’,” she said, referring to the concept of ‘happiness’ she wrote in her book.

Alyssa and Jie Kai registered their marriage in 2015. They welcomed their first child Bubu that same year, and their second child Bobo in 2017. Alyssa was previously married to Sun Zihao, with whom she had her first daughter Angelina.
