Amber Kuo celebrates 10th work anniversary

Taiwanese actress Amber Kuo recently celebrated 10 years of being in the entertainment industry on Monday (Dec 25), since her debut back in 2007.

She organised a dinner party the same day and made a speech reflecting on the past years of being in the industry. She even read out a word that she felt represented each year, with “amazing” representing the 7th year in 2014, and “lost” for the 9th year in 2016.

Many then speculated that these words were indicative of her relationship and subsequent breakup with fellow actor Tony Yang.

However, the actress explained that the meanings of the words actually revolved around her whole life, and not simply her relationship.

“I gained popularity from the movies Tiny Times and David Loman in 2013, which increased my job opportunities and made me very busy all through 2014. However, last year, I felt lost in all aspects in my life, hence I chose that word,” she shared.

Amber has also previously been mocked for undergoing plastic surgery and she dismissed these claims, saying that she had neglected her appearance due to her busy schedule. She expressed that her routine of flying overseas regularly and only arriving at the airport in the middle of the night had caused a lot of stress and lack of proper care to her health.

However, the 31-year-old actress seems to be making up for that as she has been keeping a low-profile and taking on less jobs the past two years. She shared that she would often stay home and had even begun a vegetarian diet as she “wished to make my life a little simpler, as I used to always placed work first in the past.”

Amber also spoke out about her rumoured romance with fellow star Louis Koo and expressed that it was “strange” and that she had “no idea how or why these claims would even arise.”
