Are Yang Mi, Hawick Lau trying to sell their home for S$19.4 million?

Nine months after announcing their divorce, ex-power couple Yang Mi and Hawick Lau are reported to have finished splitting their joint assets, which is estimated to be worth over S$17 million.

Earlier this week, reports surfaced claiming that Yang Mi and Hawick’s marital home in Beijing, China had been listed up for sale. The luxury mansion is located in an upmarket neighbourhood near Beijing’s central business district.

The reports quoted an anonymous netizen, who claimed to be a real estate agent who had been contacted regarding the sale of the mansion. Yang Mi’s father is said to be handling the sale of the mansion, with an asking price of RMB 100 million (S$19.4 million).

The netizen also uploaded a number of pictures of the mansion’s hallway and common areas, which appear to be well-furnished and decorated. Although no further details were provided regarding the sale of the mansion, fans have dug up an old picture of Hawick and Yang Mi spending their first Chinese New Year as a married couple.

The picture, which was posted by Yang Mi’s father, showed Hawick using his phone in a living room with furnishings that are markedly similar to that of the mansion that is currently up for sale, lending weight to the real estate agent’s claims.

Yang Mi and Hawick tied the knot in 2014, and called it quits in December last year, after five years of marriage. The former couple has a daughter, nicknamed ‘Little Glutinous Rice’, together.
