Taiwan-born Hong Kong actress Cherrie Ying recently revealed her plans to have a second child on Chinese variety show Three Houses. In the most recent episode which aired on January 14, Cherrie told her friends Qin Lan and Liu Yun that she ‘will have a second child’, causing her husband, Hong Kong actor Jordan Chan, who was seated beside her, to smile with embarrassment.

The 34-year-old actress previously mentioned her wish to get pregnant by the end of 2017, however feelings between her and husband “have changed”.

The couple tied the knot in 2010 and have one son, Jasper.

Jordan, 50, and Jasper appeared on the fifth season of hit Chinese reality show Where Are We Going Dad? last year, where the 4-year-old became a crowd favourite for his calm personality and his ability to get along well with other children.

In recent photos shared on Instagram by Hong Kong singer Yumiko Cheng on the family’s visit to her place, Jasper could be seen sharing snacks with Yumiko’s 3-year-old daughter, Avery Leung. Netizens were quick to point out that Jasper, who was dressed in a grey T-shirt and yellow shorts, appeared to have grown taller since the last time they saw him on television, while others argued that his ‘taller’ appearance might just be an effect of camera angles.

As both his parents are tall – Jordan is 177 cm tall while Cherrie is 169 cm – it is not surprising that Jasper would be tall in the future.
