Christy Chung’s mermaid-themed wedding invites revealed

Christy Chung is gearing up for her November wedding with Chinese actor-singer Golden Zhang (also known as Shawn) and released her mermaid-themed wedding invites ahead of her nuptials. The invitations, which were sent out electronically, was paired with lively background music.

The wedding invite brought back fond memories for many, especially since Christy shot to fame after starring in 1994 film Mermaid Got Married. The theme for their wedding was also revealed in the invite, which requested that guests adhere to the nautical theme and attend in dark blue, light blue or yellow outfits.

Through the invitation, the couple shared that the guests are welcome to appear in cosplay outfits and had the venue, along with details on the dinner and after-party, clearly written on it as well.

Earlier this week, Christy gave netizens a sneak peek at her wedding dress when she went for a fitting session. She also unveiled her Chinese opera-themed wedding shoot in September, but also opted for a more conventional theme for her second photoshoot.

This will be her third time getting married, with her first marriage to actor Glenn Ross lasting from 1998 to 2002. Her second marriage was to music producer Jon Yen, which lasted from 2003 to 2011. She had a daughter with Glenn and two daughters with Jon.
