Dee Hsu’s daughters were once school bullies

Taiwanese actress Dee Hsu recently revealed that her three daughters - Elly, 11, Lily, 9, and Alice, 6 - had previously been school bullies, prompting her to call up each of their classmates’ parents to apologise for their behaviour.

As her daughters were very well-behaved at home, Dee was initially worried that they would get pushed around due to their quiet personalities, but got a shock after she was told that they were the ones bullying others instead. Their teacher had told her that the trio were not sleeping during nap time but were instead creating trouble by pulling other girls’ hair, colouring in their books and even accidentally hurting someone else on the school bus.

This feedback came as a shock to the actress and she immediately rang up each student’s parent and apologised for her daughters’ behaviour.

“If my children were getting bullied, I would be very furious at the other party’s parent and I understand that you must be feeling the same way. I sincerely apologise for their actions and will make sure to discipline them so that this behaviour does not happen again,” Dee recounted.

The 39-year-old actress then proceeded to speak calmly to her three girls, but ended off with a stern warning where she told them that “if she found out they were up to the same tricks again, they would be made to bow 90 degrees and apologise to their classmates personally.” She then made them say sorry to her once, before letting them off.

Dee also mentioned that she had always seen her children on an equal level and would speak to them like how she spoke to her friends. She added that she had always placed more emphasis on one’s character and would repeatedly remind her daughters that even if they got full marks on an exam but had a bad personality, she would not be happy.
