Elaine Ng approves of daughter Etta Ng’s marriage plans

Jackie Chan’s estranged daughter, Etta Ng, finally gave an update of her whereabouts earlier this week when she announced on Facebook that she is engaged to Canadian media influencer, Andi Autumn. In addition, she confirmed that she has started a photo studio with her fiancée by updating her occupation as “UCHU hause’s boss”.

Netizens pointed out that Etta changing her last name on Facebook from Wu to Zen could be a sign that she is getting ready to sign marriage papers with Andi soon. Same-sex marriages have been legalised in Canada since July 20, 2005.

Etta’s mother, Elaine Ng, was asked about her daughter’s decision to move to Canada and settle down, to which she responded with, “I’m fine as long as everyone is happy. I don’t have any comment on the matter.”

This contrasts sharply with her previous comments about her daughter, as she has previously responded with strongly worded statements whenever Etta did something that she did not approve of.

In addition, actress Meg Lam, who is close to Elaine, recently revealed that Elaine knew about Etta and Andi’s plans to get married before the news was announced. “Elaine said that getting married was a good thing, and she also said that Etta would be able to get Canadian citizenship that way,” Meg shared.

Jackie has yet to make a public statement on his daughter’s engagement, but has previously been criticised for his curt reactions to questions about his daughter and was accused of being a “coward” and “unworthy to be a father.”
