Ella Chen celebrates her 5th wedding anniversary

Taiwanese singer-actress Ella Chen, who gave birth to her baby boy, nicknamed “Strong Baby” earlier last month, was pleasantly surprised by her husband, businessman Alvin Lai, last Friday.

Although the couple’s fifth wedding anniversary was on May 5, Ella initially thought that her husband will forget about the special day, as the singer-actress is still doing her confinement.

However, he surprised her by remembering the date and wishing her a “Happy anniversary,” when he saw her. Gratified, Ella thought that the greeting was the end of their “celebrations,” but to her surprise, Alvin had actually remembered that Ella had mentioned her “wish to eat cupcakes.” He specially purchased eight cupcakes from a shop, as well as a bouquet of pink carnations for the new mother.

Ella later posted a number of pictures of the happy family with the cupcakes and flowers, writing, “Thank you, my husband, for being so thoughtful and always working hard to surprise me, [I] love you.”

After her post went up, Ella’s fans left comments wishing the couple a long and lasting relationship, with some expressing their jealousy at Ella and Alvin’s good relationship.

Ella tied the knot with her Malaysian businessman husband Alvin Lai five years ago, and she has regularly kept her fans updated about her blissful wedded life. She confirmed that she was pregnant in October last year, and gave birth on April 12 this year.
