Elva Hsiao spent the night with a student?

Taiwanese singer Elva Hsiao’s love life has recently come into question after a rumoured student named Justin was spotted spending the night at her place.

It was reported by Taiwanese media that Elva was seen at a karaoke lounge at 11pm on three weeks ago and only left around 1am in the morning. She was accompanied by two men, one in a cap who was in charge of guarding the door and the other in a white shirt, who gave instructions to the driver on what time to pick them up. All this while, the singer kept a low-profile and made a conscious effort to avoid all cameras and paparazzi.

After reaching Elva’s apartment, only the man in the white shirt followed her and was said to have spent 12 hours at her place, only leaving at 1pm the next afternoon. This man’s name was then revealed to be Justin and he was said to be a student studying abroad in Canada during his school term.

After he left, he was seen heading towards a language centre and claims about him currently taking Chinese lessons to improve his language skills so as to enter the Chinese acting industry then surfaced.

Elva has spoken out about this issue and neither confirmed nor denied it. The 38-year-old singer said that she did not feel the need to explain herself to anyone as she faced multiple speculations by the public on a daily basis. She did not think it was necessary to address every one of them and added that she only wanted to focus on her new album for now.

Her manager has also expressed that “it was only a simple get-together for a group of friends who happened to be visiting Taipei that night and they headed to her place because she was very welcoming and cherished her friends very much.”

Elva was previously in a relationship with 24-year-old professional golfer Michael Chen but the pair have since split in April.
