It’s been almost a month since Malaysian singer Fish Leong was rumoured to be headed for splitsville with Taiwanese businessman Tony Chao. On August 8, she finally addressed the rumours at a press event for her new song, confirming that she has signed the divorce papers.
They will also be sharing joint custody of their 5-year-old, Anderson.
She shared, “I thank everyone for their concern. To answer the question that everyone has, Mr Chao and I have signed the divorce papers, but there are some details that we’re still working out.”
Fish and Tony have been living apart for some time, and the singer is currently living with her mother.
However, she drew the line on commenting on whether the divorce was due to a third party, and her manager had to step up to ask the media to move on to the next question.
The 41-year-old nodded when asked if she struggled with whether or not she should get a divorce, but would not comment further on the matter.
Fish and Tony tied the knot in February 2010, and welcomed their only child in April 2014.
