Former lead singer of Taiwanese band F.I.R, Faye, revealed that she is no longer dating Chinese comic artist Lu Ming, who was the visual director for her music video ‘Vault of the Sky’.
The pair met at the start of the year when they travelled to Mongolia for a shoot, and were said to have hit it off despite knowing each other for only three days.
“He wasn’t the right one and it was all a misunderstanding. Lu Ming and I are no longer together, but thank you for all the well wishes back then,” the 36-year-old shared over Weibo yesterday, “Don’t ask why we broke up, because I don’t think I have to explain any further.”
The singer assured fans that she was “not too upset” and will “continue to do better in the future”.
Before she met Lu Ming, Faye dated former bandmate Real Huang for three years, before ending things in 2010.
In February, the singer shocked fans when she revealed that she was not part of F.I.R’s upcoming plans to release new music. Her bandmates, guitarist Real Huang and keyboardist Ian Chen, later confirmed that they have decided to move ahead as a band without her, but stated that she is welcome to return to the band if she wishes to do so.
